This role will work across several brands in the iFinex group, including digital asset exchanges Bitfinex and Ethfinex. Both are regarded as world-leading cryptocurrency exchanges and are consistently ahead of the pack when it comes to innovation.
This is a unique opportunity to join us in a rare window of time at the tipping point of the financial evolution (think where the internet was 20 years ago), and Marketing & PR play a critical role.
Much like the early days of the internet, blockchain technology is riddled with complexity that needs unpacking to a wider audience. Whilst there is a dedicated and impassioned crypto audience who know us and get what we do, we see massive potential in more traditional financial and high volume trading audiences. Marketing and PR are critical to reaching this audience in language and environments familiar to them.
We are continuously developing our brand and growing our offering, and we need your help to keep us at the forefront and communicate this to the world. You will see the impact your work has on the business every day.
Working within the umbrella company, iFinex, you will be responsible for getting the latest developments of Ethfinex and Bitfinex in front of our target audiences. You will be helping to define how we articulate announcements, and think of clever ways to cut through the noise to show the world what we do.
We need you to think creatively, and construct innovative customer acquisition strategies that take our customer base to the next level.
We want people who think differently, but critically put the audience first. We want to be challenged on which communications channels we should be using, to stop us from defaulting to the well trodden path.
The person we are looking for is knowledgeable about fintech, passionate about the potential of blockchain to disrupt the status quo, and ideally has some knowledge of cryptocurrencies.
This role will report into the Marketing Director but will need to be capable of working independently and take complete ownership of projects.
Experience at selling in stories to journalists across a variety of titles, from trade titles, to mainstream titles with financial / tech features. Ideally comes ready with a little black book of valuable journalist contacts.
Experience of planning and delivering creative and effective cross-channel marketing communications campaigns (including social media).
Able to identify, approach and manage potential partnerships and relationships across the blockchain and fintech industries.
Experience in growing brands and communities
Experience editing colleague’s written pieces and providing constructive feedback.
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership over projects.
Ability to work fast, collaboratively and intuitively, capable of reacting quickly to industry and product changes and pivoting existing strategies.
An obsession with constant improvement across every single metric, and experience generating reports that prove the marketing impact.
Genuine interest in blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and tokens.
A hunger to contribute to the overall success of the business and help when needed by getting stuck into tasks that don’t necessarily fall under the job description.
Knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
Experience working with agencies and writing briefs.
Experience writing video scripts that succinctly capture an announcement.
Experience with SEO, Google Analytics, FB advertising.
